On 10/13/2012, the vessel ISLAND HOPPER I (Official Number 831555) was involved in a intentional beaching/grounding/anchoring to avoid occurrence in SAINT JOHN, NB, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.
