The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 1/4/2005 8. Weather at the time was reported as rain with winds from the SE at 50.00 knots.

The F/V "CAPTAIN MATT" was reported disabled. The F/V "PAPA"S LOBSTERS" took the vessel in tow, but the tow line parted enroute to port. Both vessel subsequently went aground, but were refloated on the tide and proceeded to port WFI.
