On 4/16/2008 , the vessel FUNDY VENTURE I (Official Number 823392) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in BAY OF FUNDY, NB, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 4 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

On 16 April 2008, F/V "FUNDY VENTURE I" issued a MAYDAY stating that the vessel was aground at low water in the Passamoquody Bay. The crew was concerned that the vessel may not refloat on the rising tide and requested assistance.
