On 6/19/2003 , the vessel JAKEJEWE (Official Number 821414) was involved in a sank - flooding in ENTRANCE TO BAY OF FUNDY, NS, NOVA SCOTIA (NS).

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/23/2003. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SW at 12.00 knots.

On 19 June 2003, a fire broke out on board the fishing vessel JAKEJEWE which thereafter caused an explosion. The vessel burned to the waterline. The 3 crew members were rescued by FV LADY JANICE II and SECORD I, but one crew eventually died.
