On 3/24/2001 , the vessel DAUPHIN BLEU I (Official Number 820201) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in MAGDALEN ISLANDS, QUEBEC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

Bolts holding the fishing vessel's rudder in place parted. As a result the rudder fouled the propeller rendering the vessel not under command.
