On 8/1/2002 1, the vessel SALVAGE FOAM (Official Number 819091) was involved in a sank - flooding in 21 NM WSW OF CAPE BONAVISTA, NFLD, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 6 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were 0 injuries and fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

It was reported that the F/V "SALVAGE FOAM" with 7 POB was taking on water and listing heavily. The crew abandoned into a work skiff and were picked up by the CCGA Goldorak I. The partially submerged vessel was subsequently towed into Salvage, Nfld.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MAJOR
