On 8/1/2002 1, the vessel SALVAGE FOAM (Official Number 819091) was involved in a sank - flooding in 21 NM WSW OF CAPE BONAVISTA, NFLD, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 6 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 8/15/2002 . Weather at the time was reported as clear.

It was reported that the F/V "SALVAGE FOAM" with 7 POB was taking on water and listing heavily. The crew abandoned into a work skiff and were picked up by the CCGA Goldorak I. The partially submerged vessel was subsequently towed into Salvage, Nfld.
