On 5/29/2002 , the vessel G S M I (Official Number 818555) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in SHIPPEGAN GULLY, SHIPPEGAN, NEW BRUNSWICK, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 4 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/29/2002 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SSE at 5.00 knots.

The F/V "G S M 1" with 4 POB was reported aground in the Shippegan Gully. The CCGC Shippegan was tasked to assist. Vessel now secured at Shippegan. No reports of damage or pollution.
