On 13 September 2010, the F/V " MILDRED KATHLEEN", with 2 POB, was reported on fire on the German Bank fishing grounds, 11 NM west of Seal Island, N.S . A Mayday was sent and the crew abandoned into a liferaft. The F/V "FINSSEEKER" rescued the crew.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS
