A Fisheries and Oceans Canada patrol aircraft was able to locate the fishing vessel and communications were established by text with an onboard Iridium satellite device. The main engine was unserviceable and thus the vessel was towed to Louisbourg, NS by the Canadian Coast Guard Ships "CAPTAIN MOLLY KOOL" and "SPINDRIFT".
