On 7/11/1997 , the vessel ANDY & MAXWELL (Official Number 812423) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in OFF THE EASTERN SIDE OF EXPLOITS ISLAND, NFLD.,.

The vessel, with 7 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

Vessel reported striking shoal whilst engaged in capelin fishery. Keel cooler reported damaged and small leak in hull. Vessel towed to Triton, Nfld for repairs.
