On 13 June 2015, the fishing vessel "TARA DAWN I", with 9 people on board, was unable to control an engine room fire. The crew abandoned the vessel into their two liferafts and activated the Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB). The Halifax Joint Rescue Coordinating Center tasked vessels to search the area and the fishing vessel "SETTING SEA II" rescued the crew without injury and landed them in Fortune, NL.
