On 5/14/2009 , the vessel SHANALEEN (Official Number 811353) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in NORTH EAST COAST NL, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 6 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 14 May 2009, F/V "SHANALEEN" reported that a crew member had become entangeled in the crab hauler. It appeared that his arm was broken and a couple of fingers were gone. The crew member was medevac.
