On 6/26/2001 , the vessel MISS MARIE (Official Number 809830) was involved in a sank - flooding in 64 NM ENE OF ST. ANTHONY, NEWFOUNDLAND, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 5 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 6/26/2001 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the N at 40.00 knots.

The F/V "MISS MARIE" reported it was taking on water and sinking. The 5 POB abandoned the vessel into liferafts and were picked up by the F/V "GRAND MARINER II". The vessel eventually sank.
