On 10/21/1999, the vessel DOUBLE DOLPHIN (Official Number 809805) was involved in a sank - flooding in 60 NM OFF YARMOUTH, NS.,.

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/23/2003. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the N at 11.00 knots.

On October 21,1999 the F/V "DOUBLE DOLPHIN" was reported sunk. All three crew members abandoned the vessel into liferafts (both inflatable and an Ovatek 4) and were recovered by the Oceanographic research vessel "ENDEAVOUR".
