The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

The bowpicker F/V "PATTAYA" used to harvest Sea Urchins took on water forward through an unplugged scupper which was below the water line when loaded. Some product was unloaded onto another vessel and the "PATTAYA" escorted into Port Hardy, B.C.
