On 7/16/2007 , the vessel COASTAL RAIDER (Official Number 802624) was involved in a sank - founders (taking on water above the waterline) in 16 NM S OF INGOMAR, NS, NOVA SCOTIA (NS).

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were 0 injuries and fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

On 16 July 2007 F/V COASTAL RAIDER was reported overdue. Search began and later 3 crew were picked up from their life raft by another fishing vessel. Crew were delivered to Ingomar wharf.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as TOTAL LOSS

Weather at the time was reported as fog with winds from the N at 20.00 knots. This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 7/17/2007 .
