On 9/22/1997 , the vessel KNIGHT-DRAGON (Official Number 800451) was involved in a fire in 4 MILES SOUTH OF CARMANAH POINT, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 11/13/1997. Weather at the time was reported as with winds from the W at 6.00 knots.

90 ft steel trawler reported stack fire. Several vessels on scene to assist. Crew extinguished fire and vessel towed to Port Angeles. No pollution or injuries.
