On 4/17/2015 , the vessel GOTLAND CAROLINA (Official Number 8001836) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in Gulf of St. Lawrence, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 23 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 17 April 2015, the chemical/products tanker "GOTLAND CAROLINA" reported the failure of one of the main engine cylinder liners while in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The crew carried out the repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage towards Québec, QC.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
