On 9/27/2007 , the vessel CLIPPER LEADER (Official Number 8000760) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in STE-CROIX, QC, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 15 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/15/2007. Weather at the time was reported as overcast with winds from the SE at 7.00 knots.
On 27 September 2007, near buoy Q-48, the upbound vessel CLIPPER LEADER took a sudden shear to port and had to go to emergency anchorage. Electronic problems in the steering system were reported.
