On 9/22/2003 , the vessel NIRINT ATLAS (Official Number 8000027) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in SECTION B7, PORT OF MONTREAL, QUE., QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 14 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/7/2003 . Weather at the time was reported as clear.

As the vessel "NIRINT ATLAS" was warped ahead it struck a container gantry crane damaging its radar antenna and a navigation light.
