On 4/19/2009 , the vessel LAGONDA (Official Number 7847) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in OFF HEATH POINT(ANTICOSTI), QC, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 23 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 4/29/2009 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the NW at 8.00 knots.
On 19 April 2009, a crew member on board the bulk carrier "LAGONDA" seriously injured his head when he fell in the engine room. The crew member was medivac to Gaspe hospital.
