On 12/18/1987, the vessel RUTH VENTURE (Official Number 7327) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in ALONGSIDE BERTH 4,VANCOUVER WHARVES,VANC.,B.C.,.
The vessel, with 25 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 4/14/1988 . Weather at the time was reported as snow with winds from the E at 7.00 knots.
