On 12/4/2005 , the vessel FEDERAL ST. LAURENT (Official Number 7254523) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in LOCK NO. 2, WELLAND CANAL, ST. LAWRENCE SEAWAY, ONTARIO (ON).

The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
