On 2/21/1997 , the vessel OSPREY ARROW (Official Number 708333) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in KITIMAT, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 2/26/1997 . Weather at the time was reported as clear.

Bosun & one O/S were trapped and squeezed by the moving ship's gantry while working aboard the "OSPREY ARROW". Bosun sustained serious injury, was hospitalized and underwent surgery. The O/S was released from the hospital after initial checkup.
