On 11/3/1988 , the vessel TNT EXPRESS (Official Number 705783) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in EXTENSION TO THE HALTERM PIER,HALIFAX HBR,N.S.,.

The vessel, with 23 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 4/20/1989 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the S at 18.00 knots.
