On 2/28/1997 , the vessel MARIGOULA K (Official Number 701966) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in "M" ANCHORAGE, VANCOUVER, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 27 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 3/5/1997 1. Weather at the time was reported as rain with winds from the N at 3.00 knots.

A crewmember fell down with an aluminum ladder while scraping rust in a cargo hold. The ladder had slipped when the victim was at its top. He sustained tripple fracture of his left leg. Transported to hospital thence repatriated.
