On 9/21/2004 , the vessel MICHIGANBORG (Official Number 6581) was involved in a intentional beaching/grounding/anchoring to avoid occurrence in CANAL DE LA RIVE SUD, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 11 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
