The vessel, with 29 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

During a docking manoeuvre under the conduct of a pilot and assisted by two tugs, the main engine failed to start and the bulbous bow of the vessel struck the dock causing ingress of water in the fore peak.
