On 8/27/2009 , the vessel ALEUTIAN FALCON (Official Number 642161) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - boarding, being on board, falling overboard from the ship in CAPE MUDGE, STRAIT OF GEORGIA, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 108 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/5/2009 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the E at 15.00 knots.
On 27 August 2009, the U.S.-registered factory trawler "ALEUTIAN TRAWLER" reported a person overboard while passing Cape Mudge. The body was recovered off Robson Bight, B.C. by kayakers on August 28 and handed over to the RCMP.
