On 1/12/2008 , the vessel ALEXANDERGRACHT (Official Number 5676) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in HEAD HARBOUR PASSAGE, NB, NEW BRUNSWICK (NB).

The vessel, with 15 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 12 January 2008, it was reported that M/V ALEXANDERGRACHT, inbound through Head Harbour Passage, NB., experienced total main engine failure and had to drop both anchors. Vessel was escorted by tugs to Eastport, ME.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as UNKNOWN

Weather at the time was reported as clear. This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 1/14/2008 .
