On 2/18/2005 , the vessel VALOROUS (Official Number 556710) was involved in a risk of striking (near allision) - risk of allision with a fixed object (striking - includes vessels) in TOLMIE CHANNEL, SPLIT HEAD, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 18 February 2005, the U.S.tug 'WESTERN NAVIGATOR" while towing the U.S. barge "TONGASS PROVIDER", reported a near collision with the U.S. F/V "VALOROUS", at the south end of Tolmie Channel, off Split Head, B.C.
