On 11/19/2018, the vessel BEATRIX (Official Number 53335) was involved in a sustains damage render unseaworthy/unfit for purpose - unfit for purpose - ice, weather, etc. in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield harbour, Qc., QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 10 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 19 November 2018, during unloading operations, the general cargo ship "BEATRIX" sustained damage to one of its cargo hold cover when a bundle of steel dropped down on it after sliding out of the lifting sling. There was no other damage nor injuries reported.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
