On 3/28/1991 , the vessel MALASPINA (Official Number 521183) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in OFF CAPE CAUTION, QUEEN CHARLOTTE SOUND, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 60 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
