On 6/30/2019 , the vessel BBC OREGON (Official Number 4654) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in Bay Bulls, NL, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 13 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 30 June 2019, while manoeuvring to leave the dock in Bay Bulls, NL, the cargo vessel "BBC OREGON" grounded with the bow of the vessel and sustained damage to the hull. The emergency fire pump room flooded. With the rising tide the vessel freed itself and floated back towards the dock. Two tugs and a pilot were ordered to move the vessel into the bay to anchor. No pollution or injuries were reported.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MAJOR

Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SE at knots. This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 6/30/2019 .
