On 6/11/1988 , the vessel SABLE SEA (Official Number 388547) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in IRVING OIL WOODSIDE DOCK,HALIFAX HARBOUR,N.S.,.

The vessel, with 15 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 7/9/1992 1. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SSW at 20.00 knots.
