On 10/3/2007 , the vessel SHAWN LLOYD (Official Number 368575) was involved in a grounding - under power (non-intentional) in CATENS COVE, SOUND ISLAND, PLACENTIA BAY, NL, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 03 October 2007, F/V SHAWN LLOYD was reported aground in Placentia Bay and requested assistance. Another F/V assisted and SHAWN LLOYD was eventually secured in North Harbour.
