On 6/16/1997 , the vessel FOREST TRANSPORTER (Official Number 348610) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in HARRIOT BAY MARINA, QUADRA ISLAND, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 7/7/1997 9. Weather at the time was reported as other with winds from the SE at 6.00 knots.

While departing Harriot Bay Inn during a strong breeze, the "Forest Transporter" struck the dock damaging some pilings and causing some minor damage (scrapes) to the SV "KAHTAHAH".
