While enroute from fishing grounds the main engine lost rpms. Fire was discovered upon opening the engine compartment cover. Several attempts made to extinguish fire were unsuccessful. Crew transferred to another F/V and vessel burned to waterline.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as TOTAL LOSS
