On 10/4/2000 , the vessel NISHGA LADY (Official Number 347045) was involved in a sank - flooding in MELVILLE ISLAND NEAR JACKAL PT, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations.
There were 0 injuries and fatalities were reported, and there was minor pollution.
F/V "NISHGA LADY" reportedly aground and downflooding. 2 POB abandoned ship safely in a skiff to nearby shore. POB rescued by "POINT HENRY II". No injuries, minor pollution and vessel to be salvaged.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS
