On 10/4/2000 , the vessel NISHGA LADY (Official Number 347045) was involved in a sank - flooding in MELVILLE ISLAND NEAR JACKAL PT, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was minor pollution.

F/V "NISHGA LADY" reportedly aground and downflooding. 2 POB abandoned ship safely in a skiff to nearby shore. POB rescued by "POINT HENRY II". No injuries, minor pollution and vessel to be salvaged.
