On 5/11/1987 , the vessel POMELLA (Official Number 334583) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in WHARF 11, EAST HAMILTON, LAKE ONTARIO, ONT.,.

The vessel, with 38 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
