On 9/11/2015 , the vessel L'ETOILE (Official Number 330390) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in Vanterm Terminal, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 9/11/2015 . Weather at the time was reported as clear.

On 11 September 2015, the tug "OCEAN GORDON", with 2 people on board, capsized and sank while towing the barge "L'ETOILE" in Vancouver Harbour, BC. As the tug sank, the barge "L'ETOILE" still connected to the towline, collided with the barge "MILLER 309" which was moored to pilings nearby. Both crew members were recovered by the sail boat "EQUILIBRIUM". The tug "ISLAND SCOUT" unhooked the barge and towed it to its dock.
