On 5/24/2016 , the vessel ALBERN (Official Number 328292) was involved in a sank - flooding in Gabriola Island, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations.

On 24 May 2016, the tug "ALBERN", with 2 people on board, reported being struck by the tug "C.T. TITAN" and sank in Northumberland Channel, BC. The tug "C.T. TITAN" recovered the 2 crewmember of the tug "ALBERN" from the water. Approximately 800 litres of diesel fuel and 200 litres of Hydraulic oil were reported to be on board of the tug "ALBERN". . Damage to the vessel was indicated as TOTAL LOSS
