Her Majesty's Canadian ship "OTTAWA" rescued the 2 crew members and a Canadian Coast Guard fast rescue craft transported them to Tofino, BC. The vessel subsequently sank off Vancouver Island, BC. 500 litres of diesel oil was reported to be on board.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS
