On 28 September 2016, the fishing vessel "ATLANTIC PROVIDER", with 4 people on board, reported being on fire 22.5 nautical miles WNW of Bellburns, NL. The crew abandoned ship to the "AVALON VOYAGER" and was transported to Port aux Choix, NL. The "ATLANTIC PROVIDER" burnt and subsequently sank. There were no injuries or pollution reported.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS
