On 11/30/1987, the vessel QUEEN OF NANAIMO (Official Number 320068) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in STURDIES BAY, ACTIVE PASS WHARF,B.C.,.

The vessel, with 24 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/15/1989 . Weather at the time was reported as rain with winds from the ESE at 30.00 knots.
