On 1/17/2013 , the vessel VALLEY NO. 2 (Official Number 312814) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in NEW WESTMINSTER RAIL BRIDGE, BC, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

On 17 January 2013, the tug "SEATOW", with a pile driver barge in tow, lost its steering due to a log in the prop. As a result, the barge struck the New Westminster Rail Bridge's wooden protection piling. No apparent damage to bridge nor barge.
