On 12/13/2007, the vessel EBN AL WALEED (Official Number 2846) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in NEAR CIP#7 , LAKE ST. FRANCIS, ST.LAWRENCE SEAWAY, QUEBEC (QC).

On 13 DEC 2007, while proc'dg upbd in the St.Lawrence River, Lake St. Francis, Quebec, the gen cargo V/L "EBN AL WALEED" suffered a steering loss, subsequent to previous engine problems.V/L to undergo further insp'n by USCG, TC & Seaway - Snell Lock
