On 2/20/2009 , the vessel SICHEM FEFIANCE (Official Number 2559) was involved in a collision - with another vessel or other floating object in BAIE DES CHALEURS, QUEBEC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 18 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

On 20 February 2009, the tanker "SICHEM DEFIANCE" and the icebreaker "DES GROSEILLIERS" were involved in a collision in Baie des Chaleurs. The "SICHEM DEFIANCE" reported no damage. Some damage to the icebreaker. Ice escort operations resumed.
