On 5/14/2007 , the vessel BBC ASIA (Official Number 2542) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in APPROACH WALL ABOVE IROQUOIS LOCK, ONTARIO (ON).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 11/16/2007. Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the W at 6.00 knots.

On 21 May 2007, the dnbd general cargo V/L "BBC ASIA" struck the approach wall above Iroqouis Lock causing minor damage to the wall. V/L to be inspected by Seaway Inspector at Beauharnois Lock 4.
