On 8/17/1995 , the vessel SEA QUAIL (Official Number 248228) was involved in a fire in PRINCE RUPERT HARBOUR, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 4 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

Fuel jumper pipe broke and sprayed fuel onto the running engines exhaust and set fire to engine room while vessel alongside. Vessel abandoned due to smoke. Fire extinguished by the fire department.
